Pathway to degree study

We offer a clear pathway to degree study. If you plan to undertake degree study at the University, we advise you to apply for entry to the degree programme you wish to undertake before commencing English language study with us to make sure you meet the academic entry requirements. If you do not meet the academic entry requirements for undergraduate study, you may need to complete the Certificate in Foundation Studies.

Our programme is designed to make it as easy as possible for you to meet the English language requirements while developing study skills and techniques. You do not need to sit other language tests before you study with us if you have not already done so. When you arrive on campus we will test you and place you in the course that best suits your ability, and from there you will progress through the English language levels until you qualify for entry to your chosen undergraduate or postgraduate degree.

If your English level is not high enough to study English for Academic Purposes 1 you can undertake a General English course before moving on to EAP1.
