International Students
If you are an international student but need to spend some more time studying English before going on to University studies then we recommend our English language programme. Our courses are designed to provide students with the specific language and study skills needed to succeed in academic study.
Our Certificate in English for Tertiary Studies programme enables students to increase their English language proficiency, study skills and understanding of a western analytical approach to study. The Certificate has been approved nationally as a non-IELTS university language entry standard to both undergraduate and postgraduate study.
If you are an international student but you do not meet the academic entry requirements for university then our Certificate in Foundation Studies is the course for you. It is a 24-week programme of study designed to assist students from diverse educational backgrounds to meet the basic degree entry requirements of New Zealand Universities. Students who successfully complete the Foundation Studies Programme will be awarded a Certificate in Foundation Studies. This certificate is accepted as an entry qualification for the University of Canterbury and other New Zealand universities.
