How do I apply?
- You can complete our application form online now or download a hardcopy of the application form and post it to us after you have completed it.
- As well as sending the application form you must also post us:
- A copy of the pages of your passport that show your official name, date of birth and citizenship;
- A certified/notarised true copy of your high school examination results and qualifications;
- Your English language test scores. For the IELTS, Cambridge or TOEFL test, please ask the testing centre to send the results directly to the University of Canterbury. For TOEFL our institution code is 9482.
- If you have studied at another institution in New Zealand, you will also need to provide information on your previous studies and attendance record, failure to provide this information may result in cancellation onf your enrolment at the University of Canterbury.
- Once we have received your application form it should take us 3 days to process it.
- If your application is approved we will send you an offer letter and payment instructions.
- If you meet the academic entry requirements for the programme but not the English language requirements, we will issue you with an offer letter conditional on you meeting the English language requirement. If you do not meet the English language requirements we recommend you undertake an English language course with us.
- You will need to apply for a student visa through Immigration New Zealand.
- We will send you detailed information about the application procedure while you are applying to study with us, however if you have questions please do not hesitate to contact us.
