Bridging Programmes

Overview

UC Pathway is a Training Opportunities Programme for people who are registered with Work and Income New Zealand as a job seeker or receiving a Work and Income New Zealand benefit, who are 18 years or over, and who wish to study towards a university degree.

To be accepted you need to meet with your Work and Income New Zealand case manager to check that you meet the Training Opportunity Programme criteria.

These criteria include people who have:

  • low, out-of-date, or no qualifications
  • a risk of long-term unemployment
  • 30 hours a week available for lectures, tutorials and studyUC Pathways
