Learning Skills
Learning Skills Centre
The LSC has moved again, to 77 Clyde Road, and we are open for consultations and quick queries. Email learningskills@canterbury.ac.nz or, preferably, phone 364 2314 to make an appointment for a consultation between 9 am and 5 pm, or drop in with a quick query between 10 am and 2 pm.
The Learning Skills Centre is a free advisory service and resource hub that focuses on writing and study strategies to maximise student achievement at all levels—from first-year through to PhD. We offer individual consultations with a learning advisor to discuss a specific assignment, as well as workshops, seminars, lectures, and online resources on critical thinking and writing in the university context—everything from the correct use of semi-colons, to creating a citations list, to subject-specific styles of discourse.
